The main mechanism of this can be summarized as following:(1)zinc oxide can maintain the integrity of the intestinal cells by astringing the damage intestinal epithelial cell;(2)zinc oxide inhibits the adhesion of bacteria to intestinal mucosa and prevents the damage to intestinal mucosa cells and in turn the intestinal tract(where zinc oxide binds with peptidoglycan,main component of cell wall of E.coli.,changes the physiological function of cell wall ,makes the bacteria more sensitive to the osmotic pressure,and eventually lead to breakdown and death od the bacterial.)(3)zinc oxide improves gastrointestinal micro-ecological balance and refines the intestinal microenvironment.
